Pratley Artist - Ashley Jackson

Ash Jackson from the band Awaken I Am has been playing our guitars since 2011. He predominantly uses the LT300 and loves the practical aspects of the guitar like its light weight, thin body and super comfortable neck carve. These features combined with the amazing tone of the NG Rosewood and Seymour Duncan passive humbuckers makes for a very well rounded and slick guitar.

The connection you have with the guitar is important and to have it fit well and not weigh you down and cause fatigue is a big thing on stage. Although the Pratley LT300 is a beautiful piece of art it is a real worker of a guitar. It has proven it worth in the studio and on tour over many years.

The LT300 comes standard with the best hardware and components and is made in Australia to be a premium quality instrument.

Stomp Boxes for 2014

Well, we are already coming to the half-way point of 2014. It has been a good year so far and we are so happy with our 2014 models. Our Stomps have come a long way and these latest versions have really pushed the development of stomp boxes as instruments. We have had a great reception from everyone with the new compact model (featured in the above picture) and it is really proving to be a standout design.

These stomps are all available worldwide with minimal shipping charges. Order one today for yourself or as a great gift and you will see how much these little stomps can expand your playing.

Regards,

Martin

Cajon Pickup (Pratley IPS-4 Pickup System)

Hi and welcome to Pratley.

I am really excited to have this great new Blog section on our website that will give me the opportunity to share with you what’s going on at Pratley. For anyone that is interested in the making of musical instruments this is for you. I will be focussing on the practical side of things with what’s been happening from the cut up area to the workbenches and through to the finishing and electronics areas.

To start things off I would like to share a little from Electronics. We have been working on our well known Performer Cajon pickup for a long time and earlier in the year we made a significant breakthrough. We finally managed to produce a pickup that stayed true to the Acoustic tone of the Cajon. The old version was a good pickup with great tone and powerful bass but it proved over time to lack slightly in the high end and in the articulation of the snare. It also became a little too fragile for our liking and so we went back to the drawing board. We have now finished prototyping a new pickup for our Cajon Performer range. We are very excited about our new pickup and the feedback from our endorsed artists and other professionals is all positive. This new design expresses all the sounds of the Cajon with power and brilliance. It shows off our great snare and is extremely robust. Can’t wait for you to try it!

Thanks,

Martin.
